Member of the Month — Beverly Roberts
As the daughter of a lifelong Republican woman, it is natural that Beverly Roberts is committed to the Party. She spent 17 years overseas but voted absentee from all over the world.
Upon arriving in Houston she became involved with Concerned Women for America, traveling to Austin and Washington DC to encourage legislators to vote in accord with the conservative issues that CWA espouses.
On the invitation of Nancy Lucke she joined Village Republican Women in 2002 and has served on the Board for seven years. She regularly does block walking and phone banking for candidates and provides voter registration applications to new residents in her neighborhood and helps with voter registration drives.
Beverly has been a delegate to the Senatorial Convention and the Texas Convention and staffed booths for various adjunct groups at these conventions. She spent a year planning the Westside Republican Headquarters and is delighted to see it thriving with the help of scores of volunteers.
