Trump is zooming ahead! Who knew? He is at least talking about issues that most Americans are concerned about. I am usually in agreement with most of what he says, but wish someone else was saying it and in a more respectful way. I hate the childish personal attacks! BUT……
WHO EVER WINS AFTER THE CONVENTION, WE MUST RALLY BEHIND THEM!
HERE IS MY BUCKET LIST FOR THE NEXT PRESIDENT AND LEGISLATURE:
- Hillary: in prison!
- Put “GOD” back in America !!!
- Borders: Closed!
- Congress: On the same retirement & healthcare plans as everybody else .
- Congress: Obey its own laws NOW!
- Language: English only!
- Culture: Constitution and the Bill of Rights!
- Drug Free: Mandatory drug screening before & during Welfare!
- Freebies: None to Non-Citizens!
- Budget: Balance the damn thing!
- Foreign Countries: Stop giving them our money!
- Fix the TAX CODE!
- Repeal Obamacare!
- RESPECT and REBUILD OUR MILITARY!
To that end, VRW is forging ahead with plans to open a Westside Houston Republican Campaign Center in the fall! We have done this in the past and it was very successful.
More on this later, during the summer months. I hope all of you will sign up to help man the center.
VRW traditionally takes the June, July and August months off, but your Board wants to stay in touch and keep building the momentum. VRW will be going on a road trip to College Station in June to tour the George Bush Library. That should be really fun and inspiring. Then, the club will be participating in the Villages “Fourth of July Parade and festival”. Have you ever wanted to be a star in a parade, waving from the convertible? Just let Mary Grace know! We will also have a booth and put patriotic tattoos on eager attendees, register voters and hand out Republican materials. Then in the last week of July, we are planning a CHAT (chicks having an awesome time) with a speaker who is sure to get your motor running!
The next VRW general meeting after May will be Wednesday, August 24. Mark your calendars for all these dates and have a safe and happy summer break!
