Jim McGrath to Speak at October Meeting
October’s speaker comes to us with a wealth of knowledge about the inner working of Washington, D.C. Jim McGrath started his professional career at The White House, where he served from 1991 – 1993 as a writer and editor in the Executive Office of the President. He continues to serve former President George H.W. Bush as his post presidential speechwriter and media spokesman.
Born in D.C. and educated on the east coast, Mr. McGrath has a firm grasp on how the political messages of our day are formed, and then communicated, to the public at large. An accomplished author and partner in the firm, Begala-McGrath, Jim understands, firsthand, the power of effective communication to help determine the outcome of close elections.
Currently working with the Romney campaign, Mr. McGrath will share his insights into how this Republican Presidential hopeful is faring in terms of getting his message out in an oftentimes hostile media setting. In a program he has entitled, “Countdown to the Great American Comeback,” Jim will address specific differences in the two campaign communication styles and strategies. Please do not miss hearing from a Romney campaign insider and respected Republican communications expert!
