January Meeting – Don Carlson
We’re pleased to have Don Carlson speak on “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly – the Legislative Process…An Insider’s Look at what’s going on in DC., covering “2015 Legislative Roundup and A Look Ahead to Congress in 2016.”
Mr. Don Carlson is the Managing Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Washington DC Metro Area. Don specializes in tax policy, legislative and regulatory Services. He is a trusted advisor in D.C. due to his experience with legislation, government public policy and tax law. He was Texas Congressman District 7, Bill Archer’s Chief of Staff from January 1988-2001 and is a longtime friend of Village Republican Women.
Don will give us an insider’s look into the Congressional process, both tax and spending – and what was accomplished in spite of the Obama White House. You will gain a better perspective of what’s happening in DC that is not accurately reported in the media. Don is a whiz policy analyst, who really understands what is in the bills and not just the rhetoric that is used in media campaigns.
