The Upcoming Elections and Runoff Elections are almost here and it is imperative voters return to the polls. Please remind your friends and family that their vote does make a difference. Congratulations to our Republican Primary Winners! There are many of whom must refocus and continue campaigns ahead of the November General Election. The Village is getting ready. Nancy Scott and Beverly Roberts have already prepared to open HCRP/ Westside Republican Office on Monday, March 7. We are two years into the Pandemic and I hope everyone is staying well. If you missed last month’s December meeting, you missed a fabulous performance by the Echo Piano Trio. I want to thank Kathy Taylor, our Village Christmas/Holiday event planner, for arranging such a fun and beautiful celebration. A special thank you goes to Rich and Bev Smolenski for entertaining us with Christmas piano tunes and for playing Santa.

As the tenure of our club’s current leadership team comes to an end, I wholeheartedly look back over the past two years with deep gratitude, as well as great hope for Village Republican Women’s future. Despite all the obstacles and roadblocks that crossed our path over the past two years, our club achieved more than I could have hoped for even in so-called normal times.

Every November we celebrate two major holidays, Veteran’s Day and Thanksgiving, which brings to mind service and gratitude. On Thanksgiving, we celebrate our good fortune to be Americans and all of our God-given gifts and graces—most especially life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
