I hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful Easter and the fabulous weather that went along with it.

In the not too distant future, those of us who were elected as Delegates to attend the Texas State Republican Convention at the Senatorial District Conventions in March, will begin receiving our confirmations with information about the convention in June. Make your hotel reservations and register to attend the convention as soon as you receive the paperwork so you won’t miss out on a hotel room close to the Convention Center. This year’s convention will have a lot of issues on the table for discussion and voters necessary so we need every delegate to be present. Make your plans now to attend!

Who knew that Texas has a Bill of Rights and that Number 23 supports the Second Amendment to the Constitution. There are others that may surprise you, look up Texas Bill of Rights and you’ll find it very interesting to learn about your wonderful State and it’s laws, go to https://law.justia.com/constitution/texas/articles/cn000100.html

Hope you were able to attend the Village RW Chat on April 10 with a Tour of Texas History Documents conducted by District Clerk Chris Daniels.

On April 25, we have a fabulous speaker, Rep James White who will educate us in detail about what in the world is taking place with Mental Health in our Prison system. Not something you hear a lot about but explains why there is so much overcrowding and you may gain an opinion about tax dollars being used to build more prisons.

Village RW is busy with so many events in this busy election run-off season. Join us and be part of all that is going on.
