Thank you to my fabulous Board members, who all pitched in to run a successful judicial signing event. It went off without a hitch, and our Judicial candidates received 63 signatures or more in ninety minutes. They were all so appreciative of the efficient signing event, which will help get them on the ballot.

If you missed our August meeting, you missed a great program. Dr. Jeffrey Addicott was both informative and entertaining. We need more college professors like him teaching our children and grandchildren! He is a true conservative voice with in-depth knowledge of world affairs. Thank you, Professor Addicott. August is upon us! The summer has brought us great joy, but has been tainted by great sadness. We were all devastated by the tragic floods in Kerr County that claimed so many lives, young and old. We will be collecting donations for the victims at our August meeting, so please bring your checkbooks. The community will need continued financial support for many months, and Village is stepping up to provide continued funds after the initial donations have dwindled.

Can you believe it is already July? Summer is going by so quickly. We are still busy adding new members, planning events, and most importantly, having fun together.   Many of our members attended the Lincoln-Reagan Dinner on June 13, where we heard from US Congressman Jodey Arrington, Riley Gaines, Governor Abbott, Lt. Governor Patrick, Senator Bettencourt, our member Senator Joan Huffman, and Senator Bettencourt. What a night!
