August is upon us! The summer has brought us great joy, but has been tainted by great sadness. We were all devastated by the tragic floods in Kerr County that claimed so many lives, young and old. We will be collecting donations for the victims at our August meeting, so please bring your checkbooks. The community will need continued financial support for many months, and Village is stepping up to provide continued funds after the initial donations have dwindled.

Can you believe it is already July? Summer is going by so quickly. We are still busy adding new members, planning events, and most importantly, having fun together.   Many of our members attended the Lincoln-Reagan Dinner on June 13, where we heard from US Congressman Jodey Arrington, Riley Gaines, Governor Abbott, Lt. Governor Patrick, Senator Bettencourt, our member Senator Joan Huffman, and Senator Bettencourt. What a night!

Our VRW Celebration of America was a MARVELOUS SUCCESS! We had magnificent participation and attendance from our elected officials, dignitaries, grassroots, and of course our amazing members. Ted Cruz brought us behind the scenes in the Washington foray so we can better understand what has happened, what is still going to happen, and all that he and the Trump Administration are doing to Make America Great Again!...

Wow! We had a great turnout and a great time at our April meeting. Chief Justice Ken Wise is an amazing speaker. We all learned so much about the Battle of San Jacinto. We also elected the Nominations Committee who will be meeting over the summer to choose a new slate of officers to be voted on this fall. If you missed our March meeting, you missed a great one! We had three powerhouse Village Republican Women on a panel led by Holly Hansen from the Texan. We heard from our members, April Aguirre, Shawn Thierry, and Jessica Colon, about their accomplishments, and motivations that keep them fighting to preserve our Country for future generations. I am still hearing from members and guests how wonderful the meeting was! We had several new members join the club at the meeting...

Village kicked off the new year in February with an outstanding program featuring Konni Burton who filled us in on what goes on behind the scenes at the Texas Legislature and updated us on the latest bills and battles emerging from our 89th Legislature. It was both interesting and entertaining and an exciting start for 2025.
